Demographics

Our primary audience is homeowners seeking information about maintaining their yard and landscape. They respond to the Greenscapes message because they care about aesthetics, but also want to save time and money, and/or protect their family and the environment. This audience appreciates the non-commercial, direct approach used to communicate the Greenscapes message. They also appreciate those businesses and organizations that financially support the Greenscapes program.

The Greenscapes program currently targets an audience of approximately 150,000 single-family households in 30 communities in Massachusetts. Current outreach is focused on the South Shore and North Shore regions of the greater Boston Metropolitan area, as well as the Connecticut River region of western MA. Citizens from other parts of Massachusetts and New England also participate in the Greenscapes program. We are considering potential expansion to other geographic areas in MA in partnership with other environmental organizations.
