Thank you for your interest in the Greenscapes Massachusetts program, and for helping create beautiful landscapes that protect our water resources.
The Massachusetts Bays Estuary Association (MBEA) and other organizational partners of the Greenscapes Massachusetts Coalition have invested significant time, energy, and funds in creating the Greenscapes program. We have developed the following Terms of Use to protect all program participants, and to ensure consistency of the message for the benefit of all partners.
Ownership. All products and content of the Greenscapes Massachusetts program (including the name, logos, and tagline “Beautiful landscapes that protect our water”) are copyrighted and trademarked by the MBEA, all rights reserved.
Reproduction. Content of this website and any other Greenscapes Massachusetts products may not be reproduced, copied, or otherwise used (in whole or in part) without MBEA’s written consent. If reproduction consent is given, the following statement must be used: "The products of the Greenscapes Massachusetts™ program are copyrighted by the Massachusetts Bays Estuary Association (all rights reserved) on behalf of the Greenscapes Massachusetts Coalition, and are used by (insert your organization name) with MBEA’s permission."
Use of Logo. The Greenscapes logo may only be used with written permission from MBEA. Certain Greenscapes participants, including Volunteers, Underwriters, Advisors, and Partner Communities, may use an appropriate logo for identification purposes only, but only in such a way as not to imply any endorsement or certification. If used on a website, the logo must be linked to Greenscapes.org using the criteria below.
Links to Greenscapes.org. The MBEA consents to text-only links to the Greenscapes Massachusetts website as long as (1) the appearance, position, and other aspects of the link does not imply endorsement of the Greenscapes Massachusetts program, (2) the link "points" to the www.Greenscapes.org homepage and not to deeper pages; (3) the homepage is displayed as a new, full-screen browser window, and not within a "frame" on the linked website.
Name Reference. When referencing the Greenscapes Massachusetts program in writing, use the trademark indicia (superscript “TM”) at the initial mention of the name (“Greenscapes MassachusettsTM). Subsequent references to the name need not include the trademark indicia.
Content Reference. Information from the Greenscapes Massachusetts program should be referenced and cited as any other professional document, using MLA or APA citation style. Example MLA citation for referencing the Greenscapes Guide: “Massachusetts Bays Estuary Association, Greenscapes Massachusetts program. Greenscapes Guide. Massachusetts, 2008.” Example APA citation for referencing the website: “Massachusetts Bays Estuary Association, Greenscapes Massachusetts program. “Fertilizing Alternatives.” Retrieved March 16, 2008 from the Greenscapes Massachusetts website: http://greenscapes.org/Page-148.html.”
Endorsement. The mention and/or provision of website links to any companies, trade names or products are provided for informational purposes only, and do not constitute endorsement or recommendation for use.
Liability. The MBEA and other organizational partners of the Greenscapes Coalition assume no liability and make no warranties of any kind regarding the accuracy or completeness of the information provided. Information as to the safety, effectiveness, or suitability of any product mentioned on this website should be verified by the consumer prior to use. Information regarding human health is not intended and should not be considered as medical advice or as a substitute for consultation with a medical professional.
Term Changes. The MBEA reserves the right to modify these Terms of Use and/or revoke consent at any time.
